remember that one time when we were going to update everyday…

right so we’ve been doing the musical every night for the past week now. things are finally beginning to run smoothly. we’ve had one rain show, and one rain out, but other than that things are going well. the variety act that we have in right now is called breakska8, and they are… interesting. the minnesota kind of interesting. they kind if think they are all that and a bag o’ chips, but they’re in medora. people who work the musical are now yelling MEDDEERRRRR!!! whenever it is appropriate during a certain moment because of our dear friend ethan peterson, because one night someone mispronounced Medora on stage. it’s a fun time, the actors are hilarious and talk to the tech more than some of the actresses do, but the actors seem to be much more relaxed than the girls.

i have been working sound up at the pitchfork foundue, which has been fun and that will continue throughout the summer.

anyhow, thats whats been going on

day….. i have lost track now…opps

Sorry about the lapse in posts, we’ve been busy.. Sorta.

Charlotte and Chris have been having some late nights at the Amp Theater, and I have been keeping busy, biking in the National Park, watching “How I Met Your Mother,” and much more. I saw a 5 foot bull snake yesterday it ran away from my awesomeness (no worries). Then I have been working in the call center aka the cash cow of the foundation, as well as the front desk at the Bad Lands Museum; it’s been a busy week.

Well hopefully Charlotte and Chris will write a post again soon.

Love you all.

right, so as john said, we’ve been busy. rehearsals for the medora musical start tonight, and the show opens friday. and from here on out it’s going to be busy busy busy.

hopefully we will be able to post again soon

from day 8 to now… sorry

soooooooo we’ve been busy… and lazy, and tired, and well… we just kind’a forgot. we’ve been cleaning lights and hanging them. we’ve also had days off, it’s been nice. yesterday! we went to see the avengers! with john and joe and tim, john’s roommate. the cast is in town now, and the rehearsals have begun. i watched people learn to waltz while we were fixing dimmer packs. soooooo other than that, been pretty uneventful.

sorry for taking so long to post a new entry.

day 7 aka “it’s like a mousuitiz here, i feel bad”

today we (chris and i) spent the morning cleaning lights. then we continued to clean lights, they were no longer level 10 lights, they were more of a level 6. then we moved to mid level after lunch and contiuned the mission of cleaning, this time level 2 lights with picky lenses that didnt want to work a lot of the time. so we decided to make an assembly line, which worked better. then we got to call it quits early and the rest is in john’s post below.

Today was my second day in the “West” and I met a good number of people whom I’ll hopefully be working with. My lovely parents drove me out here and the trip was only 8 or 9 hours, it was crazy as the badlands just kind of appeared from behind the highway somewhere between a large city (for North Dakota), and Medora. My parents and myself stayed the night in the Badlands motel, going out to Walmart so I could stock up on food. That night, I found my room to be “cozy”; however, I will only sleep in there, so I think I’ll be fine. The next morning, after I got settled in, I joined the other two at the Medora Musical Amphitheater (Amp). Then we explored the town, got some ice cream, played some Frisbee with our friend Joe, and are now watching Jurassic Park III. Successful day? I think so. John Goblirsch (Gob)

day 6 aka level 10 lights and level 11 cable

today it was cold! so we stayed in the depot for a good majority of the day. during the day we fixed the mountain of cable, and chris came across several level 11 cables. now the stories behind the “levels” is referring to the level of difficultly it is to fix/repair the light or cable that was set up by our M.E. dana. i was taught today how to clean source 4 jr’s. those are a level 10. i delt with 4 of them 5 of them, one of them one broke and the other one is halfway because it got angry at me. so we’ll deal with it again tomorrow.

watching new girl- “no it’s schmitt, he’s a jew in the desert, i dont want him to wander.”

Here are some pictures from today!!! It was a great day!! More pictures to follow soon in the next few days as things get done!!!

gaaahhhh!

GIANT MOSQUITO WAS JUST KILLED IN THE ROOM!! IT WAS MASSIVE!!!

day 5 aka the moral of the story, be kind to blind people to get an ampitheater

today at work the master electrician, dana arrived. she’s a very nice lady, kind’a looks like chris, kind’a alot. before we headed to the amphitheater we cleared out a storage area. when we did make it to the theater there wasnt much to do so we ended up taking an early lunch and when we got back, we got to do inventory and repairs. chris and i had a great time, cause we love repairs. then we dipped out and went to walmart, were we got a lot of food. pictures will be posted. we also saw wild horses on our way back, chris almost cried and we decided that we would watch hidalgo. so thats what we’re doing right meow. have a lovely night all.

day 3 and 4 cause we were tired for 3 and a little more ok for 4

so yesterday, we spent, all day working on the set or, at least getting rid of the things the set director (we learned his name was tom, a presious older gentleman) didnt like anymore. one of them being a church. he likes the church just not the current paint job. so chris got to scrap the paint off, with a paint scrapper that was keen on throwing the paint chips into her hair, eyes, clothes, everywhere. I was stcuk dealing with the metal monster. it was once a turn table that didnt work half the time( this we also learned) so we had to rip the wooden top off, and the wooden sides and take the bolts out of the metal frame. but we couldnt pull it apart at the end of day 3 cause it was rusted together (good job guys), so we left it for day 4.

at the beginning of day 4 we had a safety meeting, that lasted almost an hour where we viewed a lovely video. then chris went back to paint scrapping. i got to clean the dressing rooms. i was told no nomming on rat poison by my boss and we found 5 dead mice over the course of an hour as we cleaned the rooms. i then joined chris in the paint scrapping then we disposed of the metal monster was taken to grave yard. this ment that 3 out of the 6 of has to ride in the bed of truck with it. it was a good time. then we had to remove the masonite the had been underneath the turn table, seems easy right? WRONG!!!! it was glued down, and rained on so it thought it was ment to stay with the two by four it was on top of for forever. sooooo we spent about 3 and a half hours ripping it off. then we cleaned up and got done early!!!!

we shall have another entry tomorrow if the day goes well

phanny411 asked: I love you guys! :D

We love you too!!!!
